conferee
A term to know.
A member of the House or the Senate appointed to serve on a conference committee (also known as a "manager"). A conferee is usually appointed from the committee or committees that reported the legislation, and is expected to advocate the House or the Senate's position on measures when negotiating with conferees from the other body.
